The temperature may have dropped but Council will turn up the heat at Speers Point Park on Friday 22 July for the inaugural Lake Mac Winter Fest.
Council’s Acting Manager Community Planning, Stephen McAlister, said the event has everything you need to warm your soul this winter.
“Lake Mac Winter Fest will feature market stalls, mulled wine and cheese tasting, live entertainment and more,” Mr McAlister said.
“There is no better way to warm up than by shopping for local handmade gifts and seasonal produce by the warmth of outdoor heaters or sipping on mulled wine while listening to live music from local performers.
“We received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from last year’s Christmas night markets, so I am sure Lake Mac Winter Fest will prove to be just as popular with visitors. I’d encourage everyone to come down to Speers Point Park to pick up something unique from one of the boutique market stalls, sample delicious food and wine, and enjoy a great night out.”
Joining Lake Mac Winter Fest will be:
- Hunter Valley wine producers, Peterson’s House, Hanging Tree Wines and Comyns and Co, showcasing their premium wines;
- the ever-popular Lake Macquarie City Farmers Markets;
- boutique stallholders including Heads in the Clouds, The Pretty Pick, Pickle Chic, Beard Stuff Australia, Hangin’ Spaces and more; and
- local musicians Michael Muchow, Codie Kaye, Brendan Murphy and Jayde, performing throughout the night.
